About Us:

Finding Foothold Foundation was born from a simple but urgent need: to prevent unnecessary injuries among aging adults and reduce the overwhelm that caregivers feel when their loved ones begin to decline physically or cognitively.

We believe that safety, dignity, and support shouldn’t be reserved for those with means. Through hands-on workshops, coaching, and educational tools, we help older adults and their families prepare for what’s ahead—before a crisis happens.

This work grew out of decades of firsthand experience in the homes of seniors. As an occupational therapist with nearly 30 years of experience, I’ve walked into hundreds of homes after a fall or hospital discharge. I’ve seen caregivers exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn. And I’ve lived it too—as a caregiver to my mother after several strokes and to a loved one living with dementia.

Finding Foothold Foundation brings together both clinical expertise and lived experience to offer practical, compassionate support to underserved families navigating aging, caregiving, and safety at home.

Let’s work together to reduce falls, prevent injuries, and build stronger, more informed caregiving communities.

Adding to my professional experience as an Occupational Therapist is the wealth of knowledge and learning gained from direct hands-on experience as primary caregiver to my mother who had several strokes, to an “aunt” who had Alzheimer’s and to a daughter born with a congenital birth defect.

I was also the owner and operator of a 6 bed personal care home for the elderly.

Let’s start the journey together.

My experience has equipped me with the skills needed to offer insight and practical knowledge to help our aging community and caregivers properly and strategically address the concerns that come with aging. Allow me to use my professional experience as an Occupational Therapist and my first-hand experience as a caregiver to champion you towards success as you find your foothold as you terrain the aging and caregiving journey.
