Older Adults, Caregivers, Professionals & Community Members Reached

Through August 2026, our work has included:

  • 6 community workshops reaching approximately 160 participants

  • 9 speaking engagements and educational presentations reaching approximately 340 participants

  • 7 community outreach activities engaging approximately 300 people

From small, interactive workshops to conference presentations and community outreach events, each setting provides a different opportunity to increase awareness, share practical strategies, connect people with resources, and make falls prevention part of the conversation before a fall occurs.

Building on Our Foundation

In 2025, Finding A Foothold Foundation focused on formation, relationship-building, and listening. We reached approximately 1,600 older adults, caregivers, and community members through more than a dozen community events, outreach tables, volunteer gatherings, and partnerships—all without dedicated program funding.

Those efforts shaped everything that came next.

In 2026, we moved from awareness to action by expanding community-based falls prevention workshops, caregiver education and injury prevention, invited educational presentations, and community outreach.

Our work continues to grow through partnerships with housing communities, churches, aging-service organizations, healthcare providers, community organizations, and other partners committed to helping older adults remain safe and independent.

Our Impact Goes Beyond Numbers

We believe impact isn't measured only by how many people attend.

It is also the older adult who recognizes a fall risk in the home. The caregiver who learns a safer way to provide assistance. The community organization that begins thinking proactively about falls prevention. And the connection that helps someone find a resource before a crisis occurs.

Our work is rooted in a simple belief:

Older adults deserve education before a fall — not after one.

Caregivers deserve support before injury — not burnout.
